Product description

PATENTED PRODUCT (Ongoing patent) The ocular and periocular area is subject to aggression by external agents of an infectious type (bacteria, viruses, other), of a physical type (hot, cold) and of a chemical type (pollutants, other). These factors are a constant challenge to the defense mechanisms of the eye for its health and normal functioning. The maintenance of homeostasis of the ocular and periocular area is therefore delegated by the production and maintenance of the healthy tear film and by the defense mechanisms of the skin. Idraxil Ophthalmic Spray is a completely innovative formula both for its peculiar pharmaceutical form and for its unique composition. The formulation in Spray gives the advantage of extending the action of the product not only to the eye but also to the entire eye area. This formulation is also particularly suitable for people with problems in administering eye drops such as the elderly or people who have difficulty administering them due to tremors or other. Finally, the advantage of the spray is linked to greater hygiene in use and less contamination of the device. The components of Idraxil Ophthalmic Spray are unique in terms of formula and with specific and proven biological activities. Lactoferrin is a molecule normally produced by the lacrimal glands with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. In the course of life or in stressful situations the human tear can reduce the secretion of lactoferrin or have an increased need. An implementation of this molecule can certainly benefit the patient with all the beneficial effects also extended to the periocular area. Hyaluronic acid is a fundamental constituent of human connective tissues with recognized moisturizing and lubricating activities as well as emollients and calming and promoting the resolution of inflammation. All these properties are very useful in ophthalmology and are the basis of its extensive use. Vitamin E or tocopherol is an important natural antioxidant that protects the eye from oxidative stress and protects the integrity of the tear film. Administered as an ophthalmic spray, it also has local emollient and antiaging properties on the periocular area. In addition, the Idraxil formula itself demonstrated a powerful antibacterial activity on in vivo tests against Gram positive and Gram negative. The ability of Idraxil Ophthalmic Spray to promote inflammation reduction, antimicrobial and oxidative stress reduction can be very useful for use in blepharitis and inflammation of all origins (prolonged glaucoma therapy, continuous use of contact lenses and any other inflammatory injury) as well as in patients who need cleaning in the ocular and periocular area (e.g. post-surgical cleaning). The dispensing of Idraxil Ophthalmic Spray is to be carried out with the eyes closed.
